SUMMER AT CDC

4 TOP REASONS WHY TRAINING THROUGH SUMMER IS SO IMPORTANT:

  • Stay in shape! Dance requires a ton of muscles that we don't use as much in our daily lives. Dancers can easily lose a lot of their strength (especially in the feet & ankles) which could result in injury come fall!
  • Flexibility is lost! Taking a couple days or weeks off won't set you back, but taking the summer off will definitely result in a significant loss of flexibility - especially if you are still growing! You work so hard for flexibility...you don't want to lose it!
  • Maintain technique! A lot of dance training relies on muscle memory. Without regular class, muscle memory can be lost and you might find yourself re-learning skills you already mastered.
  • Embrace the lack of distraction! Even though the summer is our shortest season, we often see the BIGGEST growth in students during the summer! This is because dancers have less distractions and are able to focus on their training in totally stress-free manner.

Join us for this two-day in studio convention like no other you will experience! It will provide the training and expertise offered on today’s popular convention circuit, but in a more personalized format that allows every dancer – no matter their skill level – to advance technically and grow personally. Kim McSwain has been touring with the Nuvo Convention for years and her classes are standing room only at the Dance Teacher Summit. Our convention has two huge advantages over those Bay Area conventions – it’s close to home and allows for smaller classes with more individualized instruction by Kim and her VIP faculty. Friday evening classes will run 4:30-8:30pm with Saturday classes running all day from 10:00am-7:00pm. Parents will need to purchase an observer band to watch classes. Space will be limited so register early! Don’t miss out on this life changing opportunity! See more info here.   Cost is $300 if paid by June 15 or $325 after June 15.
