Our spectacular June Production will be held at the Redding Civic Auditorium on Saturday, June 16, 2018! There will be a matinee performance showcasing our Tiny Tots, Mini and Basic level dancers and an evening performance showcasing our Junior and Teen level dancers. These performances will highlight all of our wonderful dancers' skills and progress made throughout the season!
Dance is a performing and visual art form and we believe strongly that participation in recitals is a crucial and necessary component of a well-rounded dance education. However, we understand there are times when a dancer may not be able to participate in a show. So while participation is not mandatory, it is the parent's responsibility to notify the studio in writing via email no later than February 1, 2018 if not participating in the 2018 June Production. If we do not receive this emailed written notice, we will consider it that your child is participating and they will be measured for and ordered costumes. Once costumes, accessories and other production-related items are ordered, they cannot be cancelled so we cannot refund these fees.
Tech Week - Teachers will be working with each routine to ready it for the show. Tech will be held at the Anderson studio June 11-14. Dance classes will NOT be held at their regular times during this week and a Tech Week Rehearsal schedule is available above.
Dress Rehearsals - Both shows will have a dress rehearsal at the Redding Civic Auditorium. Schedules available above; please pay attention to which day your dancer's rehearsal takes place.
Production Packages - The base production package cost for one dancer is $120. The package includes a souvenir CDC t-shirt, a beautiful keepsake show program, four show tickets and a nominal performance fee. For multi-dancer families, $27 will be added for each additional dancer; it includes the CDC t-shirt and performance fee. The package fee will be divided into three installments - each due March 1, April 1 and May 1.
Costumes - Each performing class will be ordered a different costume. Measuring will take place from February 19 - March 1 so please be sure dancers are not absent those two weeks. Costumes will be distributed during business hours in the two weeks prior to the shows (June 4-7 & June 11-14). Accounts must be current in order for costumes to be released. Costume costs and deposit dates are as follows:
Tiny Tots $70 - March 1, $50 deposit, April 1, $20 balance
Minis/Basic $80 - March 1, $50 deposit, April 1, $30 balance
Junior/Teen $90 - March 1, $50 deposit, April 1, $40 balance
Adv.Ballet 'premiere' $110 - March 1, $50 deposit, April 1, $60 balance
Tights - These are a separate cost from the costume and one pair of each style needed will be ordered for the dancer. The tights cost will be due in April.
Child footed, footless, stirrup tights = $11.00
Adult footed, footless, stirrup tights = $14.00
Child and Adult sized fishnets = $20.00
Shoes - Will be the responsibility of the dancer to provide. We recommend purchasing the needed shoes at Soleus Dancewear in Redding.
Note: Once costumes or any production-related items are ordered for a dancer, there are NO cancellations. All associated fees are Non-Refundable and Non-Transferrable.
The following classes will not perform in the 2018 June Production: all Leaps & Turns classes, all Ballet Tech classes, all Tumbling/Gymnastics classes, Adult/Teen Ballet, and Latin Ballroom.
